Addiction and Problem Gambling Harm Scholarship

Help reduce harms from alcohol and other drugs and problem gambling.

From 2024, Le Va is administering a new Addiction and Problem Gambling Harm Scholarship, funded by Te Whatu Ora, intended to increase the capability and capacity of the workforce.

This scholarship is open to anyone studying towards a qualification that contributes to reducing harms from alcohol and other drugs and problem gambling.

While our Futures that Work Pacific Mental Health and Addiction Scholarship is for students of Pasifika descent, applicants from all backgrounds are welcome to apply for our Addiction and Problem Gambling Harm Scholarship.

How to apply

Applications for the 2024 Le Va Addiction and Problem Gambling Harm Scholarships are now closed.

The closing date to apply was 5 February 2024 at 5pm.

Important Dates

Applications open 4 December 2023.

Applications close 5 February 2024 at 5pm.

Successful applicants will be notified in late March 2024.

Awarded Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the education provider: Full year or semester one fees will be paid in April 2024. Semester two fees will be paid in July 2024.

Please check you have completed the following before submitting your application:

  • Completed all parts of the application form
  • Attached all supporting documentation requested
  • Attached your fees invoice
  • Attached any additional information that may support your application
  • Signed the declaration form.
